Adam Betzelberger - Founder, Managing Principal
My name is Adam Betzelberger — though many families know me through my education work as Adam Scott.
Before founding Ridge and Republic, I spent 15 years teaching AP Economics and History at some of the nation’s most rigorous schools. Teaching gave me a front-row seat to how people think about money, decisions, and their future — and how stressful finances can feel when you’re left to figure it all out on your own.
After leaving the classroom, I built education businesses that have served thousands of students and families worldwide. I’ve taught financial literacy to teens, created programs on investing, and worked with more than 8,000 clients over the past five years. And through all of it, one thing kept happening: people kept asking for help with money — not just spreadsheets and budgets, but with the bigger picture.
They wanted clarity, a trusted guide, and someone to walk with them through the ups and downs. Ridge and Republic was built to answer that call.
As a fiduciary, I am legally and ethically bound to put your interests first. Every recommendation I make is guided by a simple rule: what serves you best, not what serves me or the firm.
My mission is to provide calm, steady guidance in an area of life that can feel chaotic — so you can make decisions with confidence and focus on what matters most.
Outside of Ridge and Republic, I run rpgclub.net — a creative education platform — and I continue to teach financial literacy courses for teens. These projects keep me grounded in the work I love most: helping people learn, grow, and build lives of meaning.
